Cine Sprouts is Toronto’s only structured, multi-level filmmaking and VFX camp for kids ages 8 and up. Students progress across two levels from their first idea to a finished short film and from completed film to professional-level visual effects.

 

Taught by an industry professional with 20 years of experience and credits including Dune: Part Two, Game of Thrones, Wednesday, and X-Men, Cine Sprouts provides young creators with a clear pathway into filmmaking.

Pankaj brings Hollywood-level expertise to Cine Sprouts, having contributed to major productions such as Dune 2, Game of Thrones, X-Men, and SpongeBob (Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie). With a passion for mentoring young creators, he now guides children in discovering the art of filmmaking through hands-on, engaging experiences.

Who is this camp for?

For kids ages 8 and up who are curious about movies, storytelling, or creating their own content. 

What does the camp schedule look like?

Each session runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a snack break at 10:30 AM and lunch from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM.

Participants will work together and take part in each stage of the filmmaking process.

Is equipment provided?

Yes, all equipment will be provided by the camp including 4k Sony cameras, tripods , green screen, reflectors, boom microphones.

What editing software will young filmmakers be using?

Participants will use Adobe software such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro, along with Canva and AI tools to support editing, design, and storytelling throughout the filmmaking process.

Are staff trained in Cine Sprouts?

Yes, all staff at Cine Sprouts are trained and experienced.

 

They graduated from film-making programs and have experience working on professional projects and guiding young creators through the process.
